The International Conference for the Protection of Children in Automobiles will be held ion the 3rd and 4th of this coming December, in Munich (Germany). This international event has been organized by TÜV SÜD and will be attended by the Fundación MAPFRE as a presenter, together with such important figures as Dr. Klaus Langwieder (International Safety Consulting) and Philippe Lesire (Peugeot Citroen Renault).
The purpose of this conference is to discuss and promote the regulation of transportation at a world-wide level in pursuit of safety, including detailed discussions of current and desirable future developments of child safety measures in automobiles, as well as how to improve communications between manufacturers of child restraint systems, automobile manufacturers, administrators, and organizations such as Euro NCAP.
Ensuring the safety of children is a matter of great importance, as they are the most vulnerable occupants in a car in the event of a collision. In addition, a special section will be dedicated to the development of SRIs for children with special needs.
But this conference, with its ever-growing number of participants and presenters, focuses not only on industry but on other influential players in the transportation safety area such as safety engineers, accident investigators, biomechanics and pediatrics experts, consumer organizations, and highway safety organizations.
