World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims

On the 15th of November we will commemorate the World Day of Remembrance for the Victims of Traffic Accidents and Fundación MAPFRE would like to join in with “a minutes silence”.

“A minutes silence” is a video in which we attempt to remember everyone: the victims, the injured and their families, because we are aware of the magnitude of the tragedy caused by traffic accidents: 1,300,000 deaths every year, 3,500 every day, and 50,000 injured, figures that make up the primary cause of death worldwide.

In 2013, 3% of those killed on Spanish roads were children under 14 years of age, of those under 12 years of age that were killed, 20% of them were not using a child restraining system or they were using it incorrectly. For this reason, it is worth remembering that the correct use of CRS’s results in a 75% reduction in deaths and a 90% reduction in injuries.

Use a CRS properly. We all want to return home safely.
