How do I know which car seats are good? What types of car seats are there, and what are the certification rules? These are only some of the many questions answered in the "Infant and child vehicle safety: Car seats" guide published by Fundación MAPFRE and Federación de Asociaciones de Matronas de España (FAME). A total of 157,000 copies will be distributed to future parents, to help improve road safety for children. Fundación MAPFRE is also holding a drawing for 10 Dorel car seats, among our survey respondents.

The 157,000 guides will be distributed among parents attending the childbirth education classes taught by Federación de Asociaciones de Matronas de España.

The "Infant and child vehicle safety: Car seats" guide offers specific tips for expecting mothers and recommendations on how to safely transport newborns. It also includes tips for traveling with children from 12 months to 4 years, and from age 4 and up using seat belts.

The guide provides advice for traveling with children with special needs, looking at the different types of car seats and certification standards available in these cases. Lastly, it covers Spanish laws on private cars, taxis and buses, and offers tips for selecting the right seat, as well as ten security rules for children riding in cars.
