GRAPHIC - These are the most vulnerable areas for a child when riding in a car

Children are one of the groups most vulnerable to injury in case of an accident. According to a study by Fundación Mapfre, the head is the part of the body most frequently injured in children between 0 and 14 years of age, especially when a death occurs. Injuries to the limbs also occur frequently.

Compared to adults, injured children also suffer more head injuries, due mainly to their larger head size in proportion to the rest of the body.
