Taking advantage of the quarantine to learn about road safety? Here are some ideas for activities with children

¿Aprovechar la cuarentena para profundizar en seguridad vial? Te damos algunas ideas para que niños se entretengan y aprenda

We know that having children at home all day is a complicated task and entertaining them becomes the main objective. In the midst of the 'state of alarm' and with the entire population quarantined due to the coronavirus Covid-19, at Fundación MAPFRE we think it is a good time to extend our basic knowledge of road safety. Books according to different ages, educational activities, games, apps, videos... This article offers you some ideas.

Reading tales and stories helps to encourage good behavior, including road safety and accident prevention. ‘Mario's jungle’, ‘The exploring goblins’ and ‘Silvia and her tricycle’, are three books about child road safety for children between 3 and 5 years old. You will find them here. Fundación MAPFRE also has literature for children from 6 to 8 years old, from 9 to 11 years old and  from 12 to 16 years old

In order to offer the best children's road education, we also offer educational guides aimed at teachers that can also be used by parents according to the different age ranges.

In this other link we offer different educational activities, also divided according to the age of the child, as well as games, apps and videos on road safety.

Finally, from Fundación MAPFRE we offer you our 'A guide for parents on the prevention of accidental child injuries', written in collaboration with the Spanish Association of Pediatrics, and educational material on the prevention of fire and other risks.
