INFOGRAPHIC - Transporting children with limbs in casts

Transporting children with a cast may not be a problem if it is an arm or leg and the cast does not prevent the child from sitting properly on the restraint system.

However, in other cases, especially in full plaster or spica casts that make it impossible to properly flex the hip, transporting a child requires additional measures and seats to travel safely.

Here are some solutions we propose depending on the type of plaster and mobility limitations; nevertheless, in some exceptional cases, traveling by ambulance may be required in the case of tall or heavy children.
