To maintain visual contact we must place the baby in certain positions in the car depending on whether we are alone or with another adult that can supervise. When travelling with company we can place the child seat on any of the back seats, preferably the back right, with the accompanying adult next to them. If travelling alone or with other children then the front passenger seat facing backwards is best. This way the child is within reach allowing you to react if anything happens. Whenever the baby is in the front the airbag must be deactivated.
At the MAPFRE FOUNDATION we wish to improve the safety of children when travelling by car. By following this simple advice we are able to prevent suffocation or other possible threats to the baby’s health.
