A child restraint system is only effective if it is correctly installed and the child is properly strapped in. In order to offer the greatest protection possible, it is important to follow the manufacturer's instructions extremely carefully when installing the seat. We have outlined some general guidelines to follow when positioning the seat.
Choose the best position for the seat:
Minors and children less than 135cm tall must sit on the rear seats. There are only three exceptionsthat allow them to travel in the front passenger seat:
- If the vehicle does not have any rear seats.
- If all the rear seats are already occupied by other children in their respective child restraints.
- If a child restraint system cannot be installed on the rear seats.
The central rear seat is the safest. Nevertheless, the ISOFIX anchors are usually located on the two side seats. If we have to choose, the best option is the seat behind the passenger seat, since the child can be more easily seen and is easier to reach.
